NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Commissioner of the State of Connecticut Department of Housing (DOH), in accordance with Sections 8-64a and 8-76 and any other applicable provisions of the Connecticut General Statutes, will hold a public hearing concerning the Housing Authority of the City of Hartford's (the "Authority") proposed redevelopment of the Moderate Rental Housing development known as Westbrook Village, located at 1544-1606 Albany Avenue and along Mark Twain Drive in Hartford and the Authority's request to have Westbrook Village removed from the State's Moderate Rental Program.
This Public Hearing is intended to provide any concerned individuals or organizations with the
opportunity to review and comment on the proposed redevelopment by the Hartford Housing Authority. The Housing Authority intends to demolish certain of the buildings and infrastructure that presently exist at Westbrook Village and redevelop the site in phases through the transfer of property pursuant to Ground Leases for each phase of the redevelopment. Initially, the first phase will include the development of affordable and market rate housing rental opportunities on the northerly section of the site that borders Plainfield Street; the phases may also include the potential development of a retail/commercial and mixed-use district on the southern portion of the site that borders Albany Avenue.

The Public Hearing will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 6:00 pm at the University of Hartford's Handel Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford, CT 06112. Interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Esta audiencia publica pretende ofrecerle a cualquier personas interesadas y/o organizaciones la oportunidad de revisar y comentar sobre la propuesta de remodelacion de La Autoridad de Vivienda de Hartford. La Autoridad de Vivienda pretende demoler algunos de los edificios y la infraestructura que actualmente existen en el area de Westbrook Village y reconstruir por fases a traves de la transferencia de la propiedad en virtud de contratos de arrendamiento de tierra para cada fase de la remodelacion. Inicialmente, Ia primera fase incluir6 el desarrollo de vivienda accessible y a tasa de mercado en la seccion norte que limita con la calle Plainfield; las fases tambien pueden incluir el desarrollo potencial de un districto de comerciales al por nienor y de use mixto en la parte sur del sitio que limita con la Avenida Albany.
