NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – RESCHEDULED

 

CHANGE OF LOCATION

 

The Public Hearing originally scheduled to be held on July 18, 2016 relative to the redevelopment of Bowles Park Apartments has been rescheduled.

The Public Hearing will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 6:30 pm.

The location of the public hearing has been changed and will no longer take place at the University of Hartford's Handel Center.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Commissioner of the State of Connecticut Department of Housing (DOH), in accordance with Section 8-64a of the Connecticut General Statutes, will hold a public hearing concerning the Housing Authority of the City of Hartford’s proposed redevelopment of the Moderate Rental Housing development known as Chester A. Bowles Park (“Bowles Park”), located at 421 Granby Street in Hartford.

This Public Hearing is intended to provide any concerned individuals or organizations with the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed redevelopment by the Hartford Housing Authority. The Housing Authority intends to demolish all of the buildings and infrastructure that presently exist at Bowles Park and redevelop the site in phases through the transfer of property pursuant to Ground Leases for each phase of the redevelopment. Phases 1 and 2 will include the development of approximately 29 homeownership opportunities and 62 affordable housing rental opportunities.
