2023 John J. Kelly Memorial Scholarship
Applications are now being accepted for CONN NAHRO’s 2023 John J. Kelly Memorial Scholarships. CONN NAHRO will award three or more $3,500 scholarships to students who live in CONN NAHRO member housing authority communities or Section 8 housing who may not be able to take advantage of higher education opportunities due in part to their economic circumstances. Scholarships are available to both graduating high school seniors as well as students currently enrolled in college or vocational training institutions.
Deadline for applications to be accepted is 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2023. Candidates are reviewed by the CONN NAHRO Scholarship Committee against a point scale that assesses criteria including need, grades, and accomplishments in and out of school including community service and employment. Recipients are presented their awards at the Annual Scholarship Luncheon on Tuesday at the CONN NAHRO Annual Convention & Exhibition in August.
